Obama plans to send 1200 National Guard to " secure the border with Mexico "
Hmm slight problem the border is 1969 miles long .
Bush sent 3,000 troops and authorized a fence to be built , a fence Obama halted the construction of .

Obama is merely playing the old " Bill Clinton Triangulation card "

Liberals would have you believe that MOST of the guns involved in the Mexican drug violence are coming from the USA .

Auturo Sarukhan, the Mexican ambassador to the United States, appeared on CBS' "Face the Nation" and made the same claim that 90 percent of the weapons intercepted in Mexico come from the U.S.
This is an OUTRIGHT LIE !!!!!

In fact, it's not even close. The fact is, only 17 percent of guns found at Mexican crime scenes have been traced to the U.S. ( and most of these are " show guns " such as .38 super Colt pistols with chrome and pearl inlay grips prized by the drug dealers as " status symbols" , NOT the assault rifles , grenades or full auto weapons that are displayed by the news media )

In 2007-2008, according to ATF Special Agent William Newell, Mexico submitted 11,000 guns to the ATF for tracing. Close to 6,000 were successfully traced -- and of those, 90 percent -- 5,114 to be exact, according to testimony in Congress by William Hoover -- were found to have come from the U.S.

But in those same two years, according to the Mexican government, 29,000 guns were recovered at crime scenes.

Drug Violence is rampant in Mexico .

Obama can't have it both ways , either there are LOADS of bad people employed by the Mexican drug cartels and nothing less than a fully equipped , highly trained force of elite COMBAT soldiers could defeat them .
What will happen when the first National Guard troop is killed ?
What about if some of them are kidnapped and held for Ransom?
That is EXACTLY what will happen as OBAMA has no intentions of sending ARMED troops to the border , much less with orders to " SHOOT FIRST ASK QUESTIONS LATER "

Why would the President send such a SMALL force to secure the border ?
What is his " Grand Plan " ?

Station one man every 1.64 miles ? Gee you could taxi the SPACE SHUTTLE through a gap that large and never be seen .
It only makes sense that the troops be deployed in squads of at least 6-12 men.

The Arizona border is 350 miles long .

Only one possible answer , the troops are not going to the border to secure it , or arrest people entering the country illegally .

The troops will likely be there in an " advisory capacity "

why not send the Girl Scouts to serve them lemonade and cookies as they enter the country ?

Obama is sending the Guard to the border to make sure no Law Enforcement officers from Arizona or volunteer groups actually arrest these INVADERS as they cross into our country !!
Will they be granted ASYLUM the moment they enter the USA ?

And to top it all off I am not so sure it is even legal to send the troops to the border anyway ........
The Posse Comitatus Act may very well be used to challenge the deployment .

Homeland Security SHOULD send the JOINT TASK FORCE to provide intel and surveillance .
Obama should enlarge the BORDER PATROL with the 500 million he is asking for ( that could create 10 THOUSAND new agents at 50 K per year ).
Think any of our brave boys in the sandbox would take a government job shooting Illegal border crossers ?

We need at least 20 THOUSAND men to guard our border UNTIL the FENCE is completed .
Unemployment problems ? HIRE thousands to build the fence !!!

Is it to much to ask for two 8 hour shifts per day to build a fence to keep us safe ?

Obama is using this as a distraction to shield the SESTAK conspiracy , The Gulf oil response failure , and of course his COMPLETE and TOTAL failure to respond to the floods in NASHVILLE.
Has anyone heard what happened to Charlie Rangle ?
Of course not this corrupt administration just sweeps scandals under the rug and spins the next crisis to bolster their SOCIALIST agenda.

You can bet your last US dollar that these troops will NOT have ammunition .
They will not STAND on the border and impede the flow of INVADERS .
It's all smoke and mirrors .
By the time Obama gets them ( if he actually does send them ) to the southern border , they will be handing out bottles of water and food rations and providing medical care for the illegals as they step foot on US soil .

I wouldnt be surprised if Obama and Team drew ALL the legal challenges up before the announcement , and will hand it over to their operatives to stop the deployment .
In the end it must be George Bush or Cheney's fault ..........
