Rahm Emanuel Emerges from his ROCK

On Sunday 1-18-2009 Rahm Emanuel appeared on NBC's " Meet the Press" . Rahm told Host David Gregory that his conversations with accused Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich had absolutely no mention of favors or " pay for play " . Rahm also stated that there was no indication or any hint that Blago was seeking favors or pay back for appointing a person to fill Obama's vacated Illinois Senate seat . Rahm was quick to point out that all of this was detailed in the INTERNAL Obama report on the matter.David Gregory naturally passed on the opportunity to ask RAHM any questions pertaining to who Dr. Eric Whitaker was, why he is mentioned in the Obama internal " probe" and what role Whitaker played in interacting with Blago and his administration . Good news is that the state of Illinois is proceeding with the impeachment process against BLAGO . I am sure the tapes will be played for every one to hear and draw their own conclusion of what a massive LIAR RAHM really is

Gregory cited an interview with OBAMA, where Obama proclaims Roland Burris is a tainted appointee and should not be seated in the US senate . Rahm explained that since the Illinois secretary of state signed off on the paperwork every thing is ok .So its perfectly OK for OBAMA to flip flop on the issue

Asked about any role that Obama might have played in softening the opposition to his seating by Senate Democratic leaders Harry Reid and Dick Durbin, Burris said, "I have no knowledge of what the president-elect did."

Reid, D-Nev., and Durbin, D-Ill., made the announcement of acceptance in a joint statement Monday, saying Burris "is now the senator-designate from Illinois and, as such, will be accorded all the rights and privileges of a senator-elect."

Should we forget that REID is also captured on tape with BLAGO discussing the vacant seat and who should be appointed to fill it . REID stated that Burris was tainted and should not be seated . Funny thing is after we find out the impeachment is moving forward every one involved has changed their mind . WE will see lots of obvious corruption and wrong doing by OBAMA friends and they want this one swept away quickly so we can " move on " to the next scandal .

Timothy Geitner has been appointed by Obama to the post of Treasury secretary .
Geitner has committed tax fraud and was barely even slapped on the hand .

Rahm said, oh he made a mistake and put that aside because he is the right man for the job .
Geitner's problems go back to his days at the IMF where he received a 1099 as an independent contractor .The Obama Camp new of this matter as far back as November 08 or EARLIER.

The IMF and World Bank reimburse employees, including U.S. citizens, for their U.S. income taxes. They don't, however, make contributions toward Social Security and Medicare taxes, which individuals are expected to pay on their own.

In 2006, the IRS audited Mr. Geithner's 2003 and 2004 taxes and concluded he owed taxes and interest totaling $17,230, according to documents released by the Senate Finance Committee. The IRS waived the related penalties.

During the vetting of Mr. Geithner late last year, the Obama transition team discovered the nominee had failed to pay the same taxes for 2001 and 2002. "Upon learning of this error on Nov. 21, 2008, Mr. Geithner immediately submitted payment for tax that would have been due in those years, plus interest," a transition aide said. The sum totaled $25,970.

The Obama team said Mr. Geithner's taxes have been paid in full, and that he didn't intend to avoid payment, but made a mistake common for employees of international institutions. That characterization was contested by Senate Finance Republicans, who produced IMF documents showing that employees are repeatedly told they are responsible for paying their payroll taxes.

As to why Mr. Geithner didn't pay all his back taxes after the 2006 audit, an Obama aide said the nominee was advised by his accountant he had no further liability. Senate Finance aides said they were concerned either Mr. Geithner or his accountant used the IRS's statute of limitations to avoid further back-tax payments at the time of the audit.

Other tax issues also surfaced during the vetting, including the fact Mr. Geithner used his child's time at overnight camps in 2001, 2004 and 2005 to calculate dependent-care tax deductions. Sleepaway camps don't qualify.

The real questions that should be asked are

Why did Geitner not offer to pay his taxes for 2001 and 2002 when the IRS busted him for tax years 2003 and 2004 ?

Why did Geitner not have to pay interest and penalty ?
After all " Joe the plumber " did not get this treatment and the media was all over his $2,000.00 tax issue .

How many other employees in this time period made this same " simple mistake " ?
When will the audit be launched to make sure we get all the tax dollars owed from people who were employed at the IMF during the same period ?
Smart money says they can not find even 2 other people that made the same mistake.Much less for four consecutive years !!!

IMF pay policy was that you were assigned a salary and then the IMF calculated the gross and net , and tax due .The IMF then notified the contractor on a quarterly basis of tax due to the IRS and reminded the employee to pay his tax . Sure it was a simple mistake .

How long before Rush and Sean Hannity receive notice of their impending IRS audit ?
